Description
Chrysanthemum, Clara Curtis
Dendranthema ‘Clara Curtis’
Perennial non-native plant
Height: 1 to 2 feet
Width: 2 to 4 feet
Flower color: pink with yellow center
Bloom time: fall
Light needed: sun
Soil needed: moist, compost enriched, well drained soil
Notes: Fantastic late season pollinator plant. It is the very last flower to bloom in our garden before hard freezes, and it is often covered with dozens of butterflies, bees, and many other beneficial insects looking to stock up on good food before winter hits. It spreads quickly, but is easy to control. In addition to being an impressive specimen plant, we like to use it as a medium height ground cover. It grows dense enough to block most weeds – and is deer and rabbit resistant!
Attracts butterflies, bees, flies, wasps
Resistant to deer and rabbits
