Hibiscus ‘Lord Baltimore’
Hibiscus ‘Lord Baltimore’

Perennial hybrid of natives plant

Height:  4 to 5 feet

Width:  2  to 3 feet

Flower color:  red up to 10” across

Bloom time:  summer, fall

Light needed:  sun

Soil needed:  moist, rich soil especially in wetlands and along streams. does well in clay soils. Do not let the soil dry out.

Notes:  Plant dies back to the ground in winter. Shoots will emerge in late spring (sometimes as late as June) but will grow quickly.  Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Not resistant to deer
