Description
Jewelweed or touch-me-not
Impatiens capensis
Annual native plant
Height: 1 to 4 feet
Width: 2 to 3 feet
Flower color: orange
Bloom time: summer to fall
Light needed: shade
Soil needed: moist, wet. It is not drought tolerant.
Notes: Fantastic for hummingbirds. Great for wetlands. Spreads quickly via seeds but easy to control.
Attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Birds will eat the seeds
Not resistant to deer
