Description
Onion, nodding
Allium cernuum
Perennial native bulb
Height: 1 to 2 feet
Width: 1/2 to 1 foot
Flower color: white or pink
Bloom time: summer
Light needed: sun
Soil needed: moist, humus rich but well-drained
Notes: Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and songbirds. It is drought-tolerant once established and easy to grow. Loose umbels of star-shaped flowers face downward.
