Tithonia or Mexican sunflower
Tithonia rotundifolia
Annual non-native plant
Height: 4 to 6 feet
Width: 3 to 4 feet
Flower color: orangish/red
Bloom time: summer/fall
Light needed: sun
Soil needed: average well-drained soils
Notes: Attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Great pollinator plant, and attracts migrating Monarch butterflies in the fall. May need to stake it.
